Dear Bloggers,
I am going to the doctor with my mother in about 15 minutes, and as I am studying Medicine, I am really interested in knowing how the non-medical person would describe the perfect doctor. Now I have been listening to my mother complain incessantly about how doctors are conceited and never fail to make you feel personally responsible for whatever ailment you are suffering from. I have been giving this a lot of thought, obviously this is an attempt from physicians to get their patients to become more invested in their health and in taking care of their bodies, it would seem however that the end result is a patients who resent and are intimidated by their physicians, which inevitably defies the whole purpose of the physician's ploy in the first place.
So tell me people, how would you wish to be treated by your physician, what is it exactly that encourages you to go back time and time again to the same doctor, to trust in them and in their abilities?
